Elgin Symphony Orchestra
I am happy to say that over the past few months I have been as a volunteer promoted to paid research intern. I have been working on a research project for Executive Director Michael Pastreich on the viability, statistics and cost comparisons. The research is in the hopes of preparing a document proposing the idea of co-funding, with the City of Elgin, the building of a new concert hall in Elgin for the orchestra.

McHenry County Music Center I am currently working on marketing the Contemporary Children's Choir, a program of the McHenry County Music Center. We have arranged for a Contemporary Children's Choir School Tour to performan at area Crystal Lake and Algonquin schools in hopes of recruiting new members for their CCC Summer Day Camp and CCC Auditions.

1st blog
I've heard of blogs, read blogs of some other people, but this would be my first blog mainly about my personal arts management projects or entrepreneurial business. I think of it kind of like thinking out loud, only instead I'm typing out loud. I'm mainly worrying about mispelling because in blogs, as opposed to thinking out loud, you have to mind this. --Karlene
